Christopher & Alexandra’s Berkshire Barn Wedding

There are so many things we love about this rustic barn wedding that it’s hard to even know where to begin! Firstly, the couple, Christopher & Alexandra, are adorable and absolutely glowing with happiness in these photos. We’re also digging the casual look of the bridal party. It’s clear that every member was encouraged to let their own personalities shine through. And after all, aren’t your friend’s personalities the reason you love them so much? The wildflower bouquets by Red Fire Farm, as well as the venue itself, Race Brook Lodge, give the entire wedding a homey, farm fresh feel. The DIY scrap fabric streamers were a wonderfully eco-friendly option for the guests to show their wild enthusiasm for the couple after the ceremony, and the reception is chock full of quirky details, like book centerpieces featuring old anatomical drawings of hearts and titles such as “This Side of Paradise.” To top it all off, the couple manned a punked out cupcake truck where they handed out delicious treats to all of their guests.

When Christopher first contacted me about documenting his wedding, what he described as the day he marries his best friend, his thoughtfulness and deep connection with authenticity was overwhelming. I knew that I had to be a part of this day. An intimate celebration with guest list under 100, every detail was tailored by the couple to fit their style, interests and the comfort of their guests. This included an artisanally catered fully vegan menu, ending with amazing gluten free cupcakes from NoRA Cupcakes. And for the bibliophiles that they are, their DIY tables were outfitted with stacks of vintage books, temporary tattoos, and simple, gorgeous flower arrangements.
