Meghan & Stephen’s Rustic Elegance Wedding

Today’s love story has a special twist – not only was Shane Godfrey Photography the photographer of this gorgeous rustic wedding but he was also a groomsmen! He tells us the story of the wedding day as a photographer and as a great friend. He began by telling us that he knew he would be Stephen and Meghan’s photographer even before they were engaged! Stephen, or “Stevie” as he calls him, had been Shane’s friend for the past thirteen years. When Stephen began dating Meghan she became Shane’s go-to girl for advice on his portfolio. So when the big day finally came Shane wanted to be involved in all ways possible.

We love how this couple made sure to integrate personal aspects from both sides into their day. Stephen and Meghan married in the church that Stephen’s dad has been a minster at for over 30 years. Meghan really wanted a father-of-the-bride wedding, so they continued the day with a reception in the backyard of her childhood home (how cute!). Shane says the night was filled with heartfelt speeches as well as blessings from both set of parents. The night ended with a dazzling sparkler send-off. Congratulations to Stephen & Meghan!
