Ebony and Dave met abroad while participating in Temple University’s semester-long study-abroad program in Tokyo. Being abroad, though, was just the start of their adventures. According to the couple, together they’ve “navigated five bar exams, several moves, buying a little fixer-upper in Cambridge, and adopting a dog.” After all of that, it sounds like getting married will be a piece of cake. Maine, which is well-known for its natural beauty, seemed like a great choice for the couple, who says, “We thought the grown-up summer camp atmosphere at Migis would be the perfect setting for guests to gather, relax, and celebrate. The décor, activities, and food all incorporate nods to Japan, Ebony’s apple orchard upbringing, and Dave’s family’s summer traditions.” Documenting the celebration with their usual skill and artistry was emilie inc.
